How a drop safe works
A drop safe has a hopper or slot on top. Staff put cash or envelopes into the hopper and close it, and the cash drops into the locked body of the safe. Only the manager or cash-in-transit crew with the key or code can open the main door.
This keeps till cash low during the day without anyone needing to open the safe, which is why drop safes are standard in shops, fuel stations and restaurants.

We manufacture drop safes in batches in our Harare workshop, so a retail chain can put the same safe in every branch.
