Sizes for the home
Most homes choose a 20 or 36 litre safe: enough for passports, title deeds, certificates, jewellery and some cash. Larger households or home businesses often choose 80 litres. Floor and wall safes are made to fit the space available.
Installation matters more than size
A safe that is not fixed down can be carried out of the house and opened elsewhere. Our installers bolt freestanding safes into the concrete floor or wall, and set floor and underground safes into the slab. We can suggest a less obvious location while we are there.
Locks

- Mechanical combination dial: no key to lose and no batteries.
- Digital keypad: quick to open and easy to change the code.
- Electronic lock with override key.
- Dual locks (for example keypad plus key) so two people are needed to open the safe.

What is the best safe for a home?
For most homes, a 20 or 36 litre safe bolted to the floor. If you want it hidden, an underground or wall safe. We can advise after a short conversation about what you want to keep in it.
Can you install a floor safe in an existing house?
Yes. We cut into the concrete floor, set the safe and make good the floor around it.
Will a key safe work during power cuts?
Yes. Key and mechanical combination locks need no power. Digital locks run on batteries and have an override.
